Who is your hero?

Dear Reader,

Thanks to Srila Prabhupada, our hero of love, we learned to do acts of thanksgiving to Mother Earth and offerings to God, who is the fountain of love. Thanks to Srila Prabhupada we learned to invoke the Divinity, the Superior Energy, which is part of our purification process or approach to transcendence.

As the great messenger, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu said: "There are no strict rules of place or time to sing these sacred invocations." We must not argue over different rituals or traditions, but rather unite in the struggle to defend Mother Earth, the consciousness of each one of us, either for the care or damage we are involved in.

Let us invoke wholeheartedly in all languages and traditions, this great love that allows us to grow and solve the problems created by our own behavior. Together we can find the strength to take care of the divine Mother Earth and connect with transcendence, may this union of spirituality be embellished and material pleasures become insignificant to us. Let us connect with the position of being a servant of the infinite, servers of the Divine Father.

The arrival of a pure devotee changed the historical course of world, however many of the celebrities that we promote like important, have done nothing for us or for Mother Earth, but those who have done something are not fully recognized, like it happens with Srila Prabhupada.

Many countries have false heroes, warriors they invent because of lack of natural leaders like Mahatma Gandhi or like Saint Francis of Assisi, who were against animal slaughter. However, Srila Prabhupada is a true hero because he taught non-sectarian loving spirituality to awaken our constitutional position with God. Only he who is more humble than the dirt and more tolerant than a tree and honors others, who desire it, has the capacity to tell and share the names of Divine Love undisturbed.

Deliver this message of a true hero, a bona fide guru, so that Mother Earth is protected, so that the land and lakes are free of chemicals, pesticides and others. This is our duty to our children and grandchildren.

Do not take refuge in those cartoon “heroes” from fictional novels, which do not provide any real content for your life. Take refuge in messengers of love, in those who give guidance to serve the Supreme Personality of God thanks to the Bhakti Yoga, to recognize your constitutional position as a soul, and not as a material body. These are the true heroes who come to save us. We should follow their example with dedication, devotion and surrender to God’s will.

With all my affection.
Swami B. A. Paramadvaiti
